Vintage Conical Redex Dispenser, Circa 1950s

Redex was first launched in 1922, set up as a limited company providing fuel additives for cars. Drivers wanted to find ways to extend the life of the motor vehicle and improve its performance, and using Redex to clean and lubricate engines became an important part of car maintenance.

The dispenser retains nearly all its original detail showcased under a lovely natural patina which gives it a great visual appearance. The thumb plunger is intact and undamaged.

Thoroughly cleaned and very lightly polished. This is a superb example of mid-century automobilia and would make an unusual display item or an interesting addition to any collection. There are some marks and scuffs as seen in photos, these are commensurate with age and should be expected with such a well-used and desirable item.
