Pair of Vintage French Grape Hods

Traditional French grape hods, or hottes, originally used during vineyard harvests. Made from galvanised metal with remnants of their original leather straps. Great patina and colour. Now often repurposed as wine or champagne coolers, log baskets, planters, or simply as standout decorative pieces. Lovely examples with real character.

Our grape hods come as found — structurally sound, with areas of rusting and paint chipping in places. They’ve been repainted or touched up at some point over the years, adding to their charm. A fantastic look with plenty decorative of appeal.

All of our items are genuine original pieces and as such will show signs of age and use. We believe these signs of wear — from patina to minor imperfections — are part of each item's story and character. While we restore, clean and check every piece to ensure it’s ready for many more years of use, we don't over-restore or attempt to erase its history.
