Midcentury Drinks Trolley by Ib Kofod-Larsen for G-Plan (Danish Range), c.1960s
Midcentury Drinks Trolley by Ib Kofod-Larsen for G-Plan (Danish Range)
Mid-century Danish drinks trolley designed by Kofod-Larsen for the G-Plan Danish Range. Made in relatively small numbers, making it a harder piece to find. Constructed from a mix of teak and afrormosia, with a useful lower drawer, bottle storage, and a drop-leaf flap faced in original black linoleum. Fitted with original Orbit castors, so it moves easily. A really well thought-out and practical design.
The final image shows an original archive prototype drawing by IKL, dated May 1961. The handwritten note by V. B. Wilkins reads “being prototyped”, giving a rare insight into the development stage of this trolley before production. A great piece of context that highlights both the design process and the relatively limited production of this model.

Condition Report
Excellent original condition with only minimal signs of wear. There is a small water mark to the top surface and a few minor blemishes throughout, all commensurate with age and use. In our opinion these do not detract from the piece at all. A really lovely example
All of our items are genuine original pieces and as such will show signs of age and use. We believe these signs of wear — from patina to minor imperfections — are part of each item's story and character. While we restore, clean and check every piece to ensure it’s ready for many more years of use, we don't over-restore or attempt to erase its history.
