Original 1960s Nagel Variante S22 Candleholder Set – Boxed, c.1960s

A rare original 1960s boxed set of Nagel Variante S22 modular candleholders by C. Stoffi and F. Nagel for BMF, complete with six original tapered candles. These sculptural pieces can be configured in endless ways thanks to their iconic interlocking design — a genuine mid-century German classic. Highly decorative, endlessly customisable, and now widely reproduced, but original boxed examples like this are increasingly hard to find.

Condition Report

The set is in excellent original condition. The candleholders show some light marks and areas of tarnishing consistent with age, which in our view only enhance their character and patina. The original box is in great shape, complete with its polystyrene insert, keeping the holders and original candles well protected and beautifully preserved.

All of our items are genuine original pieces and as such will show signs of age and use. We believe these signs of wear — from patina to minor imperfections — are part of each item's story and character. While we restore, clean and check every piece to ensure it’s ready for many more years of use, we don't over-restore or attempt to erase its history.
