British Parabolic Lights by MAXLUME, c.1940s

Original 1940s vitreous enamel pendant lights in classic battleship grey. Each marked “Maxlume: British Made” in black enamel. One shade has a black gallery and is very slightly darker in tone, and the other with a silver gallery. Slightly different but look great when displayed together.

Product Code: IAS17

Condition Report:

Rewired with 100cm of black braided cable. Both retain their original “Maxlume” ceramic B22 lamp holders. The lights have been sympathetically restored, but show light wear and enamel loss in places, as seen in the photos — entirely commensurate with age and not detracting from their look.

  • 100cm of steel jack chain included

  • Diameter: Black gallery 9" / Silver gallery 9.5"

All of our items are genuine original pieces and as such will show signs of age and use. We believe these signs of wear — from patina to minor imperfections — are part of each item's story and character. While we restore, clean and check every piece to ensure it’s ready for many more years of use, we don't over-restore or attempt to erase its history.
