Pair of Early Hadrill & Horstmann Pluslite Industrial Task Lamps | Original Condition

A pair of early Hadrill & Horstmann Pluslite task lamps, both retaining their original magnifying lenses and virtually all of their original hardware, including the correct screws, bolts and knurled adjustment nuts.

Originally designed as precision inspection and drawing lamps, the Pluslite has become one of the most recognisable pieces of British industrial lighting. Their articulated arms, adjustable lenses and unmistakable silhouette make them as sculptural as they are practical.

Although not an identical factory-matched pair, they are very close in age, with one appearing to be a slightly earlier example. 

An increasingly difficult pair to find, particularly with both original lenses and hardware still intact.

Condition Report

Both lamps have been sympathetically rewired and are fully working. The original finish has been preserved throughout, with only the honest signs of use expected from lamps of this age.

All of our items are genuine original pieces and as such will show signs of age and use. We believe these signs of wear — from patina to minor imperfections — are part of each item's story and character. While we restore, clean and check every piece to ensure it’s ready for many more years of use, we don't over-restore or attempt to erase its history.
