Vico Magistretti ‘Eclisse’ Table Lamp for Artemide, Italy, c.1960s/70s
Vico Magistretti ‘Eclisse’ Table Lamp for Artemide, Italy, c.1960s/70s
An early production Eclisse table lamp designed by Vico Magistretti for Artemide in 1965 and first produced in 1967.
Finished in white painted metal, the lamp features Magistretti’s distinctive rotating inner shade, allowing the light source to be gradually exposed or concealed to create the ‘eclipse’ from which the design takes its name.
A classic of 1960s Italian design, the Eclisse was awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1967 and has remained in production ever since. This is an early vintage example rather than a later contemporary production, retaining the early Studio Artemide–Milano moulded manufacturer’s mark and patent numbers to the underside.
Product Code: IAS69

All of our items are genuine original pieces and as such will show signs of age and use. We believe these signs of wear — from patina to minor imperfections — are part of each item's story and character. While we restore, clean and check every piece to ensure it’s ready for many more years of use, we don't over-restore or attempt to erase its history. If you’d like more details about a specific item’s condition, feel free to get in touch — we’re always happy to help.
